SAIKOFOODS – A JOURNEY TO “SOW” VALUES AND “BUILD” DREAMS OF A VIETNAMESE NUTRITION BRAND

Founded in 2020 in the fertile highlands of Dak Lak, the household business “Rẫy” was established—born from the aspirations of a local farmer, deeply rooted in his homeland, and driven by the desire to elevate the value of Vietnamese agricultural products. From the very first batches of handcrafted roasted macadamia nuts, we have gradually expanded our research and developed a diverse range of products under the “Rẫy” brand, including cereal powders, nutritious seed-based biscuits, granola, soursop tea, coffee, and more—all closely tied to the rich agricultural heritage of Dak Lak.

In 2023, SAIKOFOODS Company was officially founded, marking a significant milestone in our journey to cultivate nutrition. The name SAIKOFOODS, derived from Japanese meaning “delicious and distinctive foods,” embodies a harmonious fusion of Japanese culinary appreciation and quintessential Vietnamese values. It represents the pride of Vietnamese agricultural products on the global stage. UMAI, a sub-brand under SAIKOFOODS, emerged from this entrepreneurial journey that began with “Rẫy.” In Japanese, “UMAI” means “delicious,” and this brand reflects our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, nutritious, and passionately crafted snack products. Featuring three core product lines—seaweed and nut crisps, seed-based boat-shaped biscuits, and seasoned seaweed snacks—UMAI leaves a distinctive mark in the mission to uplift Dak Lak’s agricultural offerings. Guided by principles of sustainability and shared prosperity, SAIKOFOODS pledges to stand alongside local farmers and contribute to building a strong, reputable Vietnamese agricultural brand, both domestically and on the international market.
